Introducing Lily: Our August Pet Valu Store Pet of the Month

NAME: Lily

BREED: Domestic Short-hair

SEX: Female

STORE: Innes & Belcourt, Ottawa

AGE: 1 year

PET PARENTS: Carole-Ann (Mommy) Barb (Grandma)

and our customers! We have people coming in JUST

to see Lily and sometimes they have even brought

their friends to visit with her as well! 

FAVOURITE TOYS: Lily thinks the store belongs to her. Every toy is hers for the taking, and because she is our princess, she gets away with it! Our cycle counts are always off because Lily has dragged toys from one end of the store to the other. She also LOVES to play with the plastic tabs that come off the totes on truck day! 

FAVOURITE TREATS: Greenies especially the salmon flavour! Mommy’s Egg Breakfast sandwich from Tim’s.

FAVOURITE TIME OF DAY: Lily is full of zoomies in the morning. When you first come in the store, Lily greets you in a very kind way, with her big green eyes and then promptly starts her acrobatics, leaping from shelf to shelf. Afternoon is sleepy time, and this is the best time to get Lily’ cuddles.      

FAVOURITE SPOT: The front counter, checking out purchases or tossing toys of the month onto the floor. In the cat tree cradles or at the top of the tallest tree greeting customers as they arrive/making them jump! Lately, she thinks the aquariums are a great place to sleep and play!  

FAVOURITE GAME: Her favourite game is to toss chicken/parsley dog treats and pens onto the floor and scoot them around. Sprockets are a fav as well. Tag/Hide and Seek, Lily loves to be chased and will chase you back. Lily loves water. She plays in her drinking fountain and beware floor washing time - when the sink is turned on Lily loves to play in the dripping water!
