Pet Valu has added the Three Dog Bakery line of baked foods and treats to our diverse lineup. Baked foods are one of the newest trends in pet food. They differ from other foods because of the baking process - baked foods are usually cut out by using something similar to a cookie cutter, rather than being pushed out of a machine.

Baked to Perfection

Unlike most other dry pet foods, baked kibble is die-cut and literally oven-baked. Using this method means that the kibble is solid and dense, making a satisfying meal for your dog. Think about it - what foods smell the best when you cook them at home? The slow, oven baked flavours that fill your house with the sweet smells of cookies or the savory aroma of grandma’s meatloaf. Three Dog Bakery uses the same type of process to cook their foods. The slow-baking helps the foods to maintain nutrients and bakes in the tasty flavors.  

The Best Ingredients

Three Dog Bakery was started because the owners had a dog with food sensitivities. They wanted only the best for her, and built their company on using top quality ingredients to make their pet foods good enough for anyone in the family to eat. (We don’t recommend actually eating the dog food or treats, even the ones that look just like cookies for people!)

The company prides itself on using human-grade chicken and lamb as the basis for their foods. No by-products are used in the production of their foods. They also don’t use artificial colors, preservatives or additives. Some of the treats use whole wheat flour, but all their “Bake to Nature” foods are free from soy, corn and wheat. You won’t even find salt or sugar in these foods – only honey or molasses are used for sweetening.

On top of being absolutely healthy across the board, the Three Dog Bakery line of treats are a lot of fun too!
